Infertility

Infertility is a word NO ONE want to hear EVER.
When i was younger i was diagnosed with Endometriosis.

Endometriosis is a condition where endometrial tissue is found outside the uterus. It is 'trapped' in the pelvic area and lower tummy (abdomen) and, rarely, in other areas in the body.
Endometriosis can cause painful periods, persistent pain in the pelvic area, infertility, and other symptoms. The symptoms can range from mild to severe. Treatment options include painkillers, hormone treatments, and surgery.

I also was diagnosed with PCOS.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is common. It can cause period problems, reduced fertility, and acne.
You do not ovulate each month. Some women do not ovulate at all. In PCOS, although the ovaries usually have many follicles, they do not develop fully and so ovulation often does not occur. If you do not ovulate then you may not have a period.

I have had 9 surgeries for the endometriosis and have been on lots of different medications for both of these issues i have. So this is why its so hard for me to conceive and also why i was told i would probably never have children of my own.
But some how we beat those odd and our little miracle Rylee was born.
Then when Rylee was only 9 months i got pregnant again. We lost that baby when i was 12.5 weeks and decided that we wanted to try again. So for the next year we tried on our own and with no luck we decided to talk to my OBGYN about what the next step would be. He referred us to a specialist. So we scheduled an appointment and met whit the doc to map out a game plan and run some test to find out if it was just me with the problem or if there was an issue with nick as well. As we figured it was just me. So the doctor suggested that we start out with an IUI.

Intrauterine insemination (IUI)

IUI involves the introduction of prepared sperm into the uterine cavity around the time of ovulation (spontaneous or induced)
So i started on my new medications. Clomid and Femara, they are used to help increase the amount of follicles or eggs. They are pills you take. Then I was giving myself about 3-5 shots of FSH Follicle Stimulating Hormone. Thats what helps the follicles or eggs grow to be mature enough to be able to be fertilized. Then i was giving myself another injection called HCG. We all have heard of this because everyone was using this to lose weight. Well its also known to trigger your body into ovulation.  Then the day you give yourself the HCG is the day you get to do the IUI. and then 2 weeks later you get to find out if it worked.
Well after 10 tried of this, and it not working we decided to just try the medication and no IUI. Try  to do it on our own. We have been trying for 3 years like this and we have had success 5 times in different ways  but none of them laster longer then 14 weeks.
Nick and i have talked about all our options and even staying as a family of 3. But Rylee sees all these kids with siblings and gets so upset that she doesn't have that bond with someone. It breaks my heart when all she asks for for Christmas or her birthday is a baby brother or sister and i cant give that to her!!
We have had friends and family members offer to be a surrogate for me but the problem is i wouldn't be able to use my eggs it would have to be the surrogates eggs we use and i just cant ask someone to do that for me.
So this is why we have decided to go for the adoption route! I am beyond excited to go this route i know its going to be a crazy emotional roller coaster ride but i have never been more ready for this! I think it means a little bit more to me then others as well since i was adopted. Adoption is such a beautiful gift! I cant want for a birth mom to pick us so we can begin this amazing journey and expand our family!
